Francis turbine type turbine is mostly suitable for hydropower station with medium or high head. The Francis type turbine manufactured by SUNTC is compact in structure, reasonable in design, convenient in operation and maintenance and excellent in efficiency. They are both vertical and horizontal shaft arrangement and can be vastly selected b the hydraulic power stations. With many years of our own experience and absorbing advanced technology from domestic and abroad sources, and in meeting ever growing requirements of stations for various hydraulic power resources, the manufacture and design level of Francis turbines made in SUNTC has been raised to new stages. It would be available for 10-400m water head up to 10MW in capacity and 0.35 to 4.0m in runner diameter.
The impulse type turbine is the best selection for high head and small discharge hydropower resources. It has compact structure, small size, and high efficiency and need fewer investments. They have been divided into Turgo and Pelton type. It ranges from 80 to 300m in water head up to 10MW in capacity and 0.4 to 3m in runner diameter. Its shaft arrangement is either vertical or horizontal and also could have single nozzle, double or multi nozzles.
Axial flow turbine
The Axial flow type turbine is available for hydropower resources of medium and low water heads. SUNTC manufactures both the Propeller type (fixed blade type) and the Kaplan type (adjustable blade type) turbines. The Propeller turbine is suitable for hydropower station with small or medium capacity and heads, and relatively stable loads. The Kaplan turbines are suitable for hydropower station with medium or large capacity and heads, and relatively unstable loads. It ranges from 3-45m in water head up to 10MW in capacity and 0.8 to 6m in runner diameter.
The tubular turbine is the selection for exploitation of tidal power and hydraulic power with extremely low heads and extremely large flow rates. They have large discharge, high specific speed and high efficiency, and need less excavation. They have been classified into Bulb, Pit, Siphon and “S” types in the light of their structural types. At present, SUNTC has developed 16 varieties of Tubular turbines, ranging from 2-25m in water head up to 10MW in capacity, and 0.8 to 5.8m in runner diameter. They offered the best selection for exploitation of low head hydropower stations.
Our generator are able to meet the requirement of different technical condition which matched with various type turbines. Owns the capability to manufacture are the following generators: the capacity per unit up to 10MW, the stator outer diameter of generator up to 9000mmm, the speed of vertical type generator up to 750r/min, and the speed of horizontal type generator up to 1500r/min, both the B and F of insulation class, the terminal voltage can be up to 13.8kV.
